Noetive emerged from stealth on September 16 with $41 million in seed funding led by Eclipse. The San Francisco-based startup was founded by Israeli entrepreneurs Amir Frenkel and Dan Barak.

The company is developing AI for businesses that coordinate equipment, materials, workers and suppliers. Its planned system combines software that learns how an operation works with a sensing device intended to collect information from the physical environment. Noetive describes the approach as a way to connect operational decisions with what is happening on the ground.

Participants in the financing include Craft Ventures, The Westly Group and Swish Ventures. The company is targeting areas such as manufacturing and logistics, where information is often distributed across separate systems.
