Buildots announced $130 million in funding on September 14 to expand its construction software business. O.G. Venture Partners led the round, which included Lightspeed Venture Partners, Intel Capital and other investors. The company puts its total capital raised at $297 million.
Its software uses computer vision to compare construction-site video with project schedules and three-dimensional models. That gives builders a way to track completed work and investigate delays across large projects, including data centers.
Buildots says more than 100 large firms use its platform. It plans to expand across North America and EMEA, cover more of the construction process from bidding through handover, and develop tools that let executives monitor entire project portfolios.
