XTEND said on September 16 that it was selected as a top performer in the close-quarters battle segment of Gauntlet II, an evaluation within the US Drone Dominance Program. The company says the result followed delivery and demonstration of 120 STRIKER systems in trials conducted by military users.
STRIKER uses XTEND's XOS software and is designed for confined environments and operations where satellite navigation may be unavailable. XTEND was founded in Tel Aviv and is now headquartered in Tampa.
The broader program has a $1 billion budget aimed at developing a US supply chain for low-cost drones. That figure is not an award to XTEND. The company's release states that prototype contracts are not guaranteed.
