Wiz launched Scan for Good on September 24 to help public services, critical infrastructure providers and nonprofits identify serious security exposures. The initiative pairs AI tools with human researchers and accepts applications from organizations concerned about their internet-facing systems.
The Israeli-founded security company says it will test only with authorization, validate potential findings through human review and disclose problems privately to affected organizations. Its focus includes combinations of permissions, configurations and exposed credentials that can create an attack path.
Wiz credits Google DeepMind as a partner in the project. The company plans to publish anonymized research after remediation so other security teams can learn from the findings. The announcement describes vulnerability discovery and remediation, rather than a tally of confirmed breaches.
