Jerusalem-based Mobileye led a Series B investment in US autonomous-transit operator Beep, which announced the round’s close on September 9. Existing investors also participated. Beep said its total funding had reached approximately $130 million, without disclosing the size of this round or Mobileye’s individual contribution.
Beep plans to expand services that help public and private communities deploy and manage autonomous transport. Part of the investment will support its AutonomOS software, which coordinates mobility networks and retains human oversight.
The financing extends an existing deployment relationship between the companies. They aim to support US services ranging from fixed routes to on-demand local transport, although the announcement did not set a timetable for new commercial launches.
