Lasso Security announced $30 million in funding on September 2 alongside LEAP, an AI security engine designed to run on ordinary CPUs. ClearSky led the financing, with participation from investors including Entrée Capital, iAngels and Singtel Innov8.
The Tel Aviv and New York company says LEAP checks AI requests without relying on a transformer model or a GPU. It says the engine is already in production with enterprise and federal customers. LEAP works alongside RAPID, Lasso's self-hosted language-model judge for cases requiring more complex analysis.
Lasso plans to expand engineering and its work with regulated and federal organizations, as well as customers in North America and Europe. The announcement does not identify the financing with a series designation or disclose a valuation.
