Guardio raised $40 million at a $1.1 billion valuation, CEO Amos Peled confirmed in a September 3 company post. Wiz co-founder Assaf Rappaport joined its investors in the financing.

The company develops security tools for individuals, focusing on scams and threats that reach users through browsing, messages, email and calls. Peled says Guardio aims to recognize deceptive activity across those channels, including attacks that move from a phone interaction to a computer.

Guardio says it now has one million paying customers, compared with about half that number a year earlier. Those figures are company-reported. Peled described the investment as supporting the company's ambition to reach more consumers. The announcement did not specify a series designation or detailed allocation of the new funding.
