Groundcover has acquired Israeli startup Wand to add technology for automatically adjusting computing resources used by Kubernetes workloads. The company announced its first acquisition on September 24 and did not disclose the price. Wand's founders and employees will join Groundcover.
The deal connects monitoring with resource management. Groundcover says its platform collects application and infrastructure data inside customers' own cloud environments. According to the company, Wand uses live workload behavior to adjust CPU and memory allocations while coordinating scaling across workloads and the wider cluster.
Groundcover plans to use Wand's technology to improve the efficiency of its own cloud data processing and to offer Kubernetes resource optimization to customers.
