Dvash Group and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem announced plans on September 16 to establish an independent venture capital fund targeting $50 million. The university's technology-transfer company, Yissum, will represent it in the partnership.

The proposed fund will focus initially on deep tech, quantum technologies, cybersecurity and technologies with both civilian and military uses. Its remit includes outside ventures as well as university research and companies founded by alumni.

Dvash will manage the fund and make investment decisions independently. Through Yissum, it expects access to researchers, laboratories and early commercialization opportunities. The arrangement aims to connect scientific work with investment and business support. The $50 million figure is a fundraising target; the announcement does not report a completed fund close.
