Cylake closed a $245 million financing through a convertible note, the cybersecurity startup announced on September 8. Lightspeed, Picture Capital and Redpoint participated. The financing takes its disclosed capital to $290 million, including a $45 million seed round announced in March.

Founded by Nir Zuk, Wilson Xu and Ehud Shamir, Cylake is building security software for organizations that want to retain control of their data in their own facilities or private clouds. It is targeting government and regulated commercial customers.

The company expects a beta release by the end of 2026 and general availability in 2027. Those are planned milestones, rather than a product launch accompanying the financing. Cylake says it has more than 40 employees and intends to expand its team.
