Check Point has appointed Yoram Tietz to its board of directors. Tietz is a senior adviser to General Atlantic’s investment activities in Israel and previously served as managing partner of EY Israel.
His background includes work with technology companies and their management teams as they expanded internationally. He also sits on SolarEdge’s board and holds roles associated with Sheba Medical Center.
In the announcement, Check Point executive chairman Gil Shwed emphasized Tietz’s experience supporting founders. The appointment adds financial and Israeli technology-sector experience to the board of the cybersecurity company.
Check Point announced the appointment on September 14. The release concerns board membership and does not announce a change in executive management, a financing round or an acquisition.
