Allot announced a new Post-Quantum Communications Consortium on August 18, bringing together nine companies and six Israeli universities. The Israel Innovation Authority’s Technological Infrastructure Division is supporting the initiative, with Allot serving as a founding member and chair.
The group will develop and evaluate post-quantum cryptography, quantum key distribution and combinations of the two. Its planned research spans optical and IP networks, mobile communications, satellites and data centres.
Company participants include NVIDIA, Classiq, Ceragon, Gilat Satellite Networks, Elta, Heqa, RAD and Ribbon alongside Allot. Academic partners include the Technion, Hebrew University and Ben-Gurion University. The participants will research these technologies together as part of the new consortium supported by the Israel Innovation Authority.
