Munich Re agreed to acquire At-Bay at an enterprise value of $575 million, the group announced on August 19. The transaction requires regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Munich Re expects completion in the first quarter of 2027.
At-Bay provides cyber insurance and cybersecurity services for small and medium-sized U.S. businesses. It has roughly 280 employees across the United States and Israel, according to the announcement. Its approach combines insurance with continuing security monitoring and risk reduction.
HSB, a Munich Re business that has partnered with At-Bay since its founding in 2017, will oversee the company. Munich Re plans to combine At-Bay’s technology and security operations with HSB’s underwriting capabilities.
